Staying in touch...

Have a girl who's stopped showing up to club? You (or her mentor) try to call her cell phone but she's out of minutes? And her home phone number is disconnected? Here is a postcard we made for our area, on the back we write a note and let them know when and where the next YoungLives event is so they can get plugged back in easily. Postcards are great because you can write a personal note and postcard stamps are half the price of regular stamps.

Vista Print offers 100 postcards for FREE if you use this link. It will cost $4.99 to upload the picture (or you can choose from one of their FREE designs if you want to make your own).

Say Cheese!

We did a photo booth during our Mother's Day club last spring and it was a huge hit. I think this would be a great pre-club activity, especially as mamas and babies are trickling in. You can also build upon this with special props and do a theme that goes with your club.

Here's what you'll need:
  • Camera
  • Leader
  • Sheet/Backdrop
  • Fun hats/wigs/props (your local Young Life area usually has a stash of goofy hats and clothing that you could borrow)
We all know that these girls will want to see their pictures! Here are some low-budget ways to share pictures: upload them to your YL website (emsite), burn them on cds, or share on a photo sharing website. Some good websites for this are:
Just make sure that you have photo releases before you do this. You can get them from the Staff Resources site here
